Quietly Challenging Tradition
Still Moon is a symbol of the importance of nature in our everyday lives, and the significance of the lunar cycle.
As the moon moves the tides, it also moves the moisture within our vines.
We use this knowledge to make decisions that will positively impact our vineyards' health, ensuring we grow the highest quality fruit.
The Story of Still Moon
Still Moon Wines was created by husband-and-wife duo Tom and Charmaine Handyside. Their journey together started at the Tipsy Rabbit wine bar in Kyneton, a bar owned by Charmaine that featured premium wine from all over the world.
Having worked in many facets of the wine industry in Victoria, Western Australia, New Zealand and Europe, Tom started visiting the wine bar, first as a rep, and eventually as a fellow wine obsessive…. The rest is history!
Planting Seeds
for the Future
Each of the vineyards Still Moon sources its fruit from is dedicated to best practices. The more natural approach in the Vineyard is the aim, utilising organic and biodynamic techniques where practical.
All pruning and canopy management is attended to by hand, allowing us to carefully monitor the progress of each vine to ensure attention to detail in the Vineyard. The vine roots are deep amongst the soil profile allowing a minimal irrigation program that ensures concentration in the fruit.
Our Wine
Drinkability is paramount amongst our list of wines, our fruit is picked at precisely the right time to deliver the most pleasing and interesting characteristics possible: Intensity, natural acidity and harmony of flavours.
When you open a bottle of Still Moon, you are experiencing the partnership of a carefully cultivated and well-managed vineyard, coupled with the highest skill and techniques of our winemakers.
