Baked red cherries and spiced red plum are complemented by orange rind and macerated strawberries. Floral notes of pink roses and peonies contribute to the pretty and lifted expression of this wine. A lighter-bodied rose with a great concentration of flavour on the palate and very good length.
Grown on ancient volcanic soil in Heathcote. Biodynamic and organic practices are part of our philosophy to ensure purity of this Grenache. From vine that are a little over twenty fives years in age.
Our objective is to harvest the fruit with natural acidity and well-developed fruit flavours. Alcohol between 11.7 - 12.3 depends on the seasonal variability. The fruit is stomped on arrival at the winery and left overnight in cold storage. Then gently pressed and fermented in aged french oak. Minimal sulphur and handling in the winery produce a very traditional provencal style Rose.
Named 'Patricia' after Charmaine's mum, this wine is drinking well and always proves popular.
