This crisp, light, and delicious Sparking Rose is made from Grenache sourced in Heathcote. Grenache is particuarly fond of the cambrian soils and warmer temperatures that Heathcote provides.
On pressing the fruit in the winery, the wine received a very small amount of skin contact before fermenting in tank. It was moved to a secondary ferment and provided with some time on lees to produce a fine and refreshing sparkling.
Named 'Charmaine' partly as Charmaine had the idea to produce an accessible, refreshing, and celebratory drop, it's also a reflection of her generous and friendly personality.
Food match: enjoyed with seafood, chicken, mild cheeses
